For this project, I was tasked with conducting market research and performing a SWOT analysis to identify a viable market to develop an app concept.
I created Fauna, a unique service app designed to connect users with qualified caregivers for in-home pet and plant care while they’re away. Unlike existing platforms that typically focus on cats and dogs, Fauna considers a broader range of pets, including fish, small mammals, birds, and reptiles, as well as both indoor and outdoor plants.
This app concept fills a gap in the market by providing a comprehensive, flexible solution for pet and plant owners seeking reliable in-home care.
My design process is highlighted below, showcasing the evolution of ideation, prototyping, and iterative refinements. Each step reflects insights gained from user testing, allowing for thoughtful adjustments that enhance functionality and user experience.
Focused on simplicity, usability, and the unique needs of users seeking care for diverse pets and plants
Three main paths reflect different user experiences, ensuring a layered, user-friendly design that adapts to both positive and challenging interactions.
Explored initial wireframes to map out user flow and content hierarchy without getting bogged down by visuals. Focused on balancing functionality and clarity to make sure key elements are accessible and intuitive.
