This project involved conceptualizing and designing a cafe brand and website, with a focus on creating a seamless user experience across devices. The process began with wireframing, followed by the design and prototyping of one key view to showcase functionality.
I conceptualized Good Boys and Girls Coffee Company (GB&G), a unique café brand designed to cater to pet owners and their canine companions. While many places claim to be "dog-friendly," they often restrict pets to outdoor patios, making it difficult for pet owners to truly enjoy the experience with their dogs. GB&G addresses this gap by creating an environment where pets are not just allowed but actively encouraged to accompany their humans inside the café.
The location I scouted out is adjacent to Harmony Valley Dog Park in Oshawa, it offers a welcoming space for a coffee and snack before or after visiting the park. GB&G provides a variety of treats and beverages for both humans and their four-legged friends. The website was carefully designed with accessibility in mind, ensuring compliance with WCAG AA colour contrast standards and optimized for a seamless experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. It was prototyped and coded using HTML5/CSS3 to ensure responsiveness and functionality across all platforms.
